Welcome to the Year Four class page
Mr Keen
In Year 4, the homework expectation is that children should be reading and practicing times tables every day. I collect reading journals from children each Friday morning, where the expectation is that I see what they have been reading, the pages read and who they have read with. There is no additional expectation however should your child choose to write a sentence or two about their book, that is absolutely fine.
If children would like to do additional home learning, here are some web pages that would be suitable.

On Purple Mash, children have a reoccurring 2do set linked to their times tables fluency and accuracy ahead of the MTC assessment in the summer term.

Some individual children have access to the spelling and reading programme, Nessy. This can be accessed at home as well as school using the same login details.
Times tables
By the end of Year 4, the expectation is that children are fluent in their times tables (up to 12x). ahead of their MTC assessment in June. Here are the sheets that we use in class that you may find useful to print and practice at home.
