About Primrose Lane
Primrose Lane is a community primary school with 200 children aged 3-11. Our school is close to the centre of Boston Spa, an attractive rural village located on the outskirts of Leeds. Primrose Lane is proud of its reputation as a caring and successful school focused on learning and individual achievement. Primrose Lane is part of Wharfe Valley Learning Partnership, a group of local schools who work together to ensure consistently high standards of teaching and learning across the partnership. School leaders and governors from each school work together to provide ‘critical friendship’, collaboration and professional development opportunities for all staff and governors.
The school is on an exciting journey of school development following our most recent Ofsted (December 2023). With the substantive Headteacher now in post, the governors are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who can support the Headteacher to drive forward rapid school improvement.
The Deputy Headteacher will play an integral role in the overall strategic leadership and management of the school, supporting with building a school culture that is nurturing and rigorous. The successful candidate will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school responding to the needs of children and staff. They will be our dedicated Personal Development lead working closely with the Headteacher to develop outstanding and inclusive teaching and learning practice which will ensure all pupils make the required progress and realise their potential.

We require a capable and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant
Primrose Lane Primary School currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
We are looking for a motivated and engaging Teaching Assistant, who has experience working 1:1 with a child within the classroom environment. Understanding and experience of managing children who have behaviour, social and emotional difficulties as well as children with Autistic Spectrum tendencies would be an advantage.
The successful candidate should show enthusiasm and commitment, and have effective communication skills with children, parents and colleagues to establish sound relationships.
At Primrose Lane we believe that behaviour is communication. We are looking to appoint someone who is kind, caring and nurturing to work closely with a child to support them to feel happy in school.
Working hours are: SEN TA 31.25 per week (Mon-Fri), term time only

Out of School Club Playworker

Salary: A3 £11.79 - £11.98 per hour (term time only)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Playworker to join our vibrant Out of School Club. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the Club Manager to delivering high-quality play and activities for the children who attend our club, ensuring they have a fun and engaging experience. The Club offers a variety of activities in order to cater for differing ages and interests, ensuring that all children from Nursery to Year 6 enjoy their time there.
You'd be directly responsible to the Club Manager, and able to work flexibly around the needs of the school as part of the wider staff team. Successful candidates must be willing to engage in any necessary training and ongoing professional development required of the role.
Hours:
After School Club 3.30 -6.15pm. Monday – Friday, term time only, 38 weeks per year.
Club staff will be timetabled and so the number of days worked can be flexible. We have various shifts available.
This role would suit someone who is interested in starting a career in childcare or education and would like to gain some experience.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Desirable Qualities
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or a related field
- Experience working with children in a play or educational setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS and/or National Curriculum
- Creativity and imagination to plan exciting activities
